CGEF Announces New Chairman and Treasurer
Alexandria, VA -
Dan Colantone, CCE, president and CEO of the Greater Akron (OH) Chamber of Commerce, has been named the new chairman of ACCE’s Community Growth Educational Foundation (CGEF). He will officially take office on May 1. Colantone, who previously served as a CGEF board member, replaces Frank M. Ryll, Jr., CCE. Ryll served as CGEF’s chairman since 2004 and led the Foundation's renaissance in 2006.
Raymond Burns, CCE, president of the Rogers-Lowell (AR) Area Chamber of Commerce and former CGEF board member, has been elected treasurer. Like Colantone, Burns will assume his new role with the Foundation on May 1.
CGEF supports the work and mission of ACCE by providing chamber CEOs with tools, research, and knowledge needed to be players in shaping the futures of their communities. CGEF is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. For more information, visit www.cgef.org.
